It’s a new year, and time for our annual request for your membership in Owatonna Trails Association. 2020 was a year like no other for everyone, and our intrepid band of trail workers and volunteers were not immune. However, one of the bright spots of the past year was seeing more folks than ever out enjoying all that Kaplan’s Woods has to offer.
New jump and bridge
Even in the midst of a pandemic, our trail crew was hard at work building new features and making improvements to help the trails remain in great shape with the increased traffic. There were reroutes, new jumps, new bridges, and lots of drainage updates and benching. Gyms may have been closed, but there was plenty of opportunity to get your workout in! Plans are underway for even more additions to our little corner of the mountain biking world in 2021 and your membership is essential for making them reality.
New bridges, repaired trail ruts, fall leaf blowing and new features all require not only volunteer labor but also equipment, tools, and materials. Your $25 annual membership fee helps to cover these costs and gives our volunteers confidence in knowing there are cash resources available to keep these trails in great condition.

Keep an eye out for the annual meeting announcement — there are lots of opportunities to get involved with OTA and we would love to see you. Thanks for your support!
